A 'SNAKE in The Bushes!

Our Thoughts:

As I returned home from church, I saw a snake come crawling out of the grass on the side of the road. I figured I'd run over it, if I got there quick enough. And, as I rolled over the snake, I felt the crunch, and looked back to see it rolling up in a ball, wiggling for life. Everytime I have a chance, I'll run over a snake, because all kinds are poisonous to me!

The enemy is out there, 'crawling out of the bushes', to prey on unsuspecting people. If you aren't 'armed', he will attack you, and it might not be very pleasant. You may live, but, you may suffer. But, if we, as Christians, would go after the enemy the way most of us go after a snake, he would be eradicated quickly! The enemy is out to 'kill, steal, and destroy', [ John 10:10 ] and we need to be prepared with the correct armor! Most of us are slack in that area of our lives. We will be prepared at times, and, at other times, we don't have a chance. And, don't think the enemy isn't watching you, ready to pounce on you like a flea on a dog! And, he means business. He will hound and hound, until he has you down. But, if you will get in the Word, give God His time in your life, you will find that the enemy will begin to leave you alone, because you are no longer an easy prey. Oh, he won't completely leave you alone, but you can be prepared, when he does strike!

God's Thoughts:

Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, I know the enemy is out there, ready to pounce. Help us to stay prepared for his advances, with the full armor, and ready resist him. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
