All In The Name

2000  Our Thoughts:
We are all known by the name our parents gave us when we were born. Some might not like their names, but somehow they all fit us!
I took my Mother to see the Orthopedic Doctor the other day and they began discussing the names in the Bible. The Doctor told her
that her name RUTH was in the Bible, but he hadn't found her first name there yet. And it's not. I don't know that her Mother gave
her the name Ruth because of it being a biblical name. Mother never named any of us three children by the biblical names. But there
are so many people who do. My daughter has two children with biblical names, Joshua and Jordan - and my son's son is named Matthew.
There is one name that stands above all names in the Bible, and is never given to a child. It's Jehovah, meaning jehovah- "the
unchanging, eternal, self-existent God." He told Moses that he was "I AM THAT I AM" [Exodus 3:14]. He is the 'alpha and omega', the 'beginning and the end'. He is Almighty God!
God's Thoughts:
Psalms 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, we give you praise and glorify your name. You are the beginning and the ending of our salvation. We praise you, Almighty Jehovah! In Jesus name, Amen.
