I Need You, Lord
July 2, 2001

dotOur Thoughts:

We get alone with our sorrows, our hurts and pains, or pet peeves, and think we don't need anyone. We nurse our hurts, and try to keep them hidden from others. We don't think anyone will care, even if they did know. But, there's always someone hurting, when you hurt. It could be your spouse.

'I need you, Lord.' How many times have you wanted or needed to say that lately? Do you not realize that He is waiting there to help you through all those hurts and pains, and the heartaches and frustrations that come your way every day? He's not a 'feel good' God, but one who hears our cry, feels our pain, and wants to help us through all our burdens.

'Lord, I need you more than words can say.' Ever been in that situation, where it's hard to put into words how much you really need God? Yet, you never just cry out, GOD, I need you. He knows what you need, and He's ready to help. You just need to call out to Him in time of distress. No lengthy conversation - just GOD, I need you! He will come to your rescue. He will calm an aching heart, sooth the pains you feel, and give you peace that no other can give.

dotGod's Thoughts:

Psalms 4:3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

dotOur Cup:

Heavenly Father, today, many are heavy with burdens to hard to bear, yet they don't call upon you. Help them to know that you are there, in time of trouble. You hear them when they cry out to you and will come to their rescue. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
