We often get locked into 'our way' of thinking. But scripture says that God's ways or not our ways, and His thoughts aren't like our fleshly thoughts. We need to learn how to think more spiritually, than in the natural.
We often seek the provision, rather than the provider, when we are in need. What we should be doing is seeking His face, and the rest will follow. But, we get wrapped up again, in 'our own thinking', and lose out on the real Power of God. Seek the Healer and not the healing.
There's no situation that we find ourselves in, that Jesus hasn't gone before. He bore all this on the cross for us. He says for us to bring our cares and burdens to Him. But, our flesh says that we can manage alone, and, if we aren't careful, the enemy will have us trapped, before we know what's happening.
So, no matter how good you are at what you do, you will sometimes need help. We need to get to the point in our thinking, that we ask God what we should be doing. If we would ask His advice in every facet of our lives, and stretch our thinking to involve the Spirit within us, I dare say, we would have a different outlook on life.
God's Thoughts:
Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, our human pattern of thinking is not your way of thinking. Help us to follow the Spirit within us, rather than our owns ways and thoughts. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
