Daily Dose of God's Word At Barbara's Entourage
He Feels Our Pain July 18, 2001 Our Thoughts:
Sometimes our lives are so filled with pain, that it makes it hard for us to function. The pain may come from situations on the job, or maybe in our families. But, whatever the cause, it's a pain that's hard to bear.
A person I know let herself have feelings toward a person that she felt had the same feelings. They are Christians, and have been honest with each other, up until this point. But, after having a great lunch, she was surprised by his 'little talk'. Seems he had met someone else, and 'had prayed about the situation', and felt this was the way to go - leave her in all her pain, and go his way. This almost devastated this woman. She felt he may be listening to the wrong voice, that they were meant to be together, but he didn't see things the way she did. He has deep feelings for her, but somehow, it wasn't right for them to be together.
It doesn't matter how we feel deep inside, God is feeling those same pains. He weeps for us; we are his children, and He cares just as our parents care for each of their children. We sometimes forget that, with God all things are possible. Things may seem to get all messed up in our daily lives, but He is able to 'unravel' the worse tangled web, to straighten out the worse problems, and to get couples back together that He has meant to spend their lives together. In the natural, it's hard to imagine some things ever being resolved, but with Him, anything is possible. We need only cling to Him, believe on and trust in Him, and He will work a work in our lives!
God's Thoughts:
Jeremiah 10:19 Woe is me for my hurt! my wound is grievous: but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it.
Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, each of us has hearts in our lives. We know that you can handle each of them. Help us to turn to you in our grief, and give them to you. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
