What's In a Profile?
OR, Are You Feeling Small?

Our Thoughts:

Jabez had the smallest profile ever written in the Bible. Yet, it was powerful enough to affect even the lives of us today. If we are courageous and bold enough to apply the prayer of Jabez to our lives, it can affect us tremendously.

Too often we are hindered by our love self-esteem. We feel we aren't worthy of God's blessings. We think we are too small to be recognized by anyone as worthy. We cut ourselves down instead of building ourselves up. We talk the negative instead of the positive.

Hey! Wake up! God didn't give us small mentality in the thinking department. His Word says to 'ask and it shall be given you'. If we seek the face of God, and obey His commandments, there is nothing God will hold back from us, if we ask. I'm not speaking of going out and asking for a Cadillac or a million dollars. I'm speaking of all the blessings He has for us, IF we ask. Jabez wasn't afraid to ask God to enlarge his borders! Think of the consequences of praying such a prayer.

God's Thoughts:

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, we often think of ourselves unworthy or too insignificant to make a difference. Help us to realize that we have Your Power within us, and need only to exercise this power by the Holy Spirit. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
