Daily Dose of God's Word At
Barbara's EntourageIn Need of a Fix?
Our Thoughts:
Computers can be addictive, especially email. Each morning, the first thing after I eat breakfast, I'm
off to turn on the computer and download my mail to see what I have. It's like medicine; you can't do without it! If you don't get your 'fix', you just are not yourself
all day. Sure, I can take a few days off without going crazy, but, the first thing I do, after returning home, is run check the email.
There are others who are into drugs, sadly. They have to have a fix, or they go nuts. Life isn't worth living, or so they think, without a FIX. Actually,
the fix is ruining their lives, but they just aren't able to comprehend that as yet.
I know one that is able to give us the FIX that we need. He can change our outlook on life, feel our days with wonder and excitement. He can fulfill our dreams
for our lives. He is able to give us a peace that no email or drugs can give. He can satisfy our longing to be accepted, to be approved, and to be loved. He IS LOVE. HE is
GOD Almighty. He is the one to whom we should run when we feel like we need a FIX. His FIX lasts, will never leave us feeling upset, run down, or loveless. Email fixes will
make you feel good for a few hours, and then you have the need to check it again. Drugs will give you a high for a time, but when you come down off that high, then you are
mad at the world again, and in need of another fix. Why not go to God for the 'fix of a lifetime'? He will change your life at the very moment you accept Him. Or, if you are
in need of help, He will help you quicker than any man, and satisfy you more than any man can. Without GOD, you are always in need of some kind of FIX.
God's Thoughts:
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, help us come unto you for all our need. Without you, we are constantly in need of a fix. But, you can give us
a new life, and give it to us abundantly. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
