Do You Like Leftovers?

Our Thoughts:

Leftovers are a big hit at my house. That means no cooking, not having to wash lots of pots and pans, and it's quick and easy. No fussing here about not having a fresh meal! In fact, I always try to cook enough for another meal. But, there are some people who never have leftovers. And, if they did, they wouldn't put them in the refrigerator for another day.

We are living in a world today where Christanity is becoming the 'leftover' religion. By that, I mean, we are hearing more and more about people thinking Christianity is not the true way. More and more are turning to religions with their 'own god', and not a true belief in the one GOD of the universe. Many are atheists, and don't believe there is even a God, or a heaven and hell. For these folks, I pray that their eyes will be opened before it's too late. When death comes, perhaps their mind will be changed, but then, it will be too late.

The Bible speaks of a time when there will be a big turning away of those that would have believed in God. They will believe in things that aren't true, simply because they never got to know the one and true God. It's easy to believe something that is convenient, easy to think is right, unless you know the Bible and what a loving God HE is. Things are read into what God has put in His Word, when one doesn't understand. And you can't understand without knowing Him - His words are foreign to you. But, with the Holy Spirit as your guide, He can guide you into the knowledge of all things therein.

If you are on the rim of indecision, not yet made up your mind, why not come to know HIM before you decide Christianity isn't for you? Life is so much easier with God as your 'pilot' through life. He is always there, unlike the statues that some worship. His Spirit is within you, giving you the power to overcome the world and it's worldly ideas of what's right and what's wrong. The enemy will no longer be able to deceive you into believing a lie, a lie that will take you to the pits of hell. Give God your life today and live!

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, I would take your 'leftovers' any day over what the world has to offer. There is pain and death in the world, but You give us life! We give you praise and honor. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
