Daily Dose of God's Word At
Barbara's EntourageUnited, We Stand!
Our Thoughts:
Monday morning, September 11, 2001, started like any other in America. The skies were beautiful and clear, and it was 'breakfast as usual.' There were many birthdays - my younger brother's included. And, I
later learned that it was the birthday of the husband of the now-deceased Barbara Olsen. It was his birthday that kept her home until that Tuesday morning, so she could celebrate with him. Life was at it's best, and everything was so rosy for so many. Then, the disaster
hit!
But, if the terrorists' intentions were to bring fear to the hearts of Americans, then their cause was lost. Their lives have stood for nothing, other than to die for a cause that will bring them judgement from God.
I've had so many emails from others, during this time of crisis for our nation. Below are some of the comments:
- "Our LORD is on the THRONE - This was not unexpected by God. I believe that this will bring God
back to our Nation. What a price to pay for our errant ways.
Praise God. For He is in control. "
- "AND "PRAISE GOD", OUR GOD, THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE AND LIVING GOD, that H-E will NEVER be 'truncated'___!!!"
- "We are together here in Québec, praying for you all in America"
- "Today, I just wanted to share with you and your fellow Americans on the
tragedy that has hit your country. I feel your pain and my eyes fill with
tears as I try to imagine what the Americans are going through. My heart
goes out to all that have lost loved ones, the many in hospitals and the
many whose lives have been altered drastically. Many have had their dreams
shartered and families have been destroyed. My deepest sympathy. It
happened to us here in Kenya In 1998 and I had not seen anything like it
before. In comparison, what happened to us seems so minor as compared to
what has happened in your land making it even harder for us to fathom."

There is a saying I've heard all my life: 'united, we stand, divided, we fall'. If we come together, united in Spirit, completely immersing ourselves in the
Word of God, and trusting in Him, then we will make it through this tragedy and any other that may come our way. Life will never be the same. The skies, which appear to be
so beautiful, will always remind of us that things aren't always the way they appear. For those used to seeing planes in their areas yesterday, gave no thought to something
about to happen. They were caught unaware - the enemy had 'flown in' in known territory, without being detected. We were never promised a life of ease, without heartaches and
tragedies. But, we were promised 'life' - everlasting life. And that life is through the blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God - our HOPE - our Intercessor - our advocate.
God's Thoughts:
Psalms 94:16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
Joshua 10:25 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, we thank you for bringing together your people throughout the world, that are standing in prayer for America. United, in prayer and love, we will get through this.
We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
