God Goes With Us

Our Thoughts:

Parents always want to be with their children, never letting them out of their sight. Sometimes, it's necessary to leave the children. And, as they grow older, they go to school, venture out on their own, getting a job, going to college, and perhaps marrying. That's when the parents have to step back and hope they have raised a child to do what is right. We sometimes have a hard time letting go, but that's the way of life.

Tonight, the President was heard around the world in his speech before Congress. He outlined the war in which we are about to embark. He vowed that we will do what is necessary to rid the world of terrorists. I could see the determination in his eyes, and hear the compassion in his speech for the unnecessary deaths that the tragedy of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, brought to this land.

The President won't be able to guide the ones in his charge to the depths of the enemies territories. He can only guide them through his leadership, and his ever trusting in the God Almighty for wisdom to do the right thing in this time of our mourning. But, there is a Father that will go to the ends of the earth for us. He will be with us forever, if we put our faith and trust in Him. His name is JESUS. God sent His Son to reach the lost and dying world. He is the chief cornerstone of our faith, the mighty ROCK on which our faith was built. He is the Door through which the unsaved must walk, to fellowship with Him. He is a tender, loving God, and He can be a angry God. The Bible tells us that the 'battle is the Lord's [ I Samuel 17:47 ]. If we will trust in Him, and let him lead this nation in this time of trial, He will help deliver the enemy, just as He let little David deliver up the GIANT! There is nothing too big for the Lord, nothing to strong for Him. There is no force under Heaven that HE can't win against!! So, let's be strong, do not fret, but keep our minds stayed on Him, and in prayer for our nation's leaders, and for our boys deployed to War.

God's Thoughts:

Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, without your presence, we are lost. We need you every step of the way, to walk with us, guide us, and keep us from evil. We pray that you will be with us through this time of trouble. We give your praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
