Daily Dose of God's Word At
Barbara's EntourageKeep Your Guard Up
Our Thoughts:
The world is in a tormoil today over the terrorists attacks. And now, the anthrax scare is turning up
in more and more places, with the latest being a Congressman's office. The enemy is on the warpath, and we've got to get on there with him. If we let our guard down one bit,
believe me, he's watching and waiting, just to pounce on us! I've always prayed a hedge of protection around myself and my family and others every day. But, during my recent trip,
I got a little lax. This immediately came to mind, after I had fallen. Perhaps it couldn't have been prevented, but perhaps it could. I want to think that it could have, considering
we need to have the WORD in us every minute of the day - not only hearing, but practicing the Word.
God is the Great Physician, and He has given us the 'medicine' with the Word to keep us from the wiles of the evil one. If we trust God, believe His Word, and put it
into practice every day, I believe God will keep us from harm. But, one lax moment, one moment of not listening attentively to His voice, can surely bring us trouble. Sometimes it might
be little, and sometimes it might be bad.
Remember to practice the Word daily, read the Word daily, and get it deep within your Spirit, so, in time of need, it is there. And, when the devil starts to attack, start
doing warfare against Him. We aren't fighting the physical enemy, but fighting against spiritual darkness in high places. Prayer and intercession can bring about change in the enemy's plans, so
be diligent in prayer.
God's Thoughts:
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, the enemy has heightened his attacks on your people. Help us to withstand these attacks and to place our full trust
in you for our deliverance. You are our high tower, the One in whom we can trust, although all else fails. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
