Daily Dose of God's Word At
Barbara's EntourageDon't Let The Devil Get You Down!
Our Thoughts:
We all go through things in life that seem hard to bear. They overwhelm us to a point that we think we can't stand it
anymore. I know, when I first broke my hip, and was told the limitations after surgery, I felt like life had been taken away from me. I could see only those things I had done but would no
longer be able to do. I guess I was going on a pity party. That's so easy for humans to do!
Can you imagine what Christ went through for us? As he hung on the cross, he felt forsaken even by God. But, in all His life, being tempted by man and satan, He not once gave
into sin. God knew that His Son would be able to withstand anything that was put on Him. And, Christ wanted to please the Father. And, the same is true for us, as God's children. If we rely on
Him for our need, and trust that He will perform His Word in our lives, there will never be anything we are unable to bear. Oh, it's not that it won't feel hard to bear, but we will get through it.
Today, as I'm recovering, I'm marveling over the things I've begun to do that maybe 'yesterday' seemed so out of reach. The future isn't as bleak as it once was, and those 'pity tears' haven't come as often
as they once did. Oh, I still look back and wish it was a dream and had never happened. That will always be there. But, it did happen, and I can't dwell on the 'what if's', but will dwell on what GOD is doing
in my life as of today. Tomorrow will be better! I trust Him to completely deliver me from my problems. And, He will do the same for you, if you will trust Him with them.
God's Thoughts:
1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, we will never go through what Christ went through for us. Help us to trust in you, that we can live life to the fullest, and can overcome the world and it's troubles.
We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
