A New Creature In Christ!

Our Thoughts:

I may step on toes with what I'm about to say, but others have stepped on my toes as well as scripture, when they say this. If this touches you, please forgive me. I've had so many to say, 'I'm a sinner, saved by grace'. That's not what the scripture says. In fact, you won't find anything like that in scripture.

Let me say this. I HAD a broken hip, but the surgeon 'operated' on me, gave me a prosthesis, and made my hip NEW. I no longer have a 'broken' hip. The same with salvation. God gives us a choice to accept His free gift of grace by faith. Anyone who chooses to take advantage of receiving this wonderful free gift is made a 'new creature' Nothing in scripture says that you are STILL a sinner, but wiped clean by the blood of Christ. It says that we are washed by the blood, made white as snow. We have the Spirit of God within us, to help us stay clean. We still have the 'sin nature' of Adam, but the Holy Spirit is there to keep us from sinning. If we do sin, then we have an advocate with the Father. He is the best lawyer there is, and it doesn't take money to make Him your lawyer - only a committment to the faith of God!

I 'once was a sinner', but now I am 'saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus'. I've been made a 'new creature' in Christ!

God's Thoughts:

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, by your grace, I was set free from the sinful life. Thank you for giving me the faith that I can remain sin free, and that I have been made righteous through you. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
