Come And Dine
Our Thoughts:
My husband puts out food for both the birds and the squirrels. The birds come in droves, while they are in our area.
We have all types and none are turned away. Oh, they do fight among themselves over the food, but that's natural. I can sit at my computer and watch the birds and squirrels
eating the food. We have three fox squirrels that come often. They sit on the places my husband has built just for them, as though they are living a luxurious life, basking
in the sun, and eating their corn. Such a beautiful sight!
Jesus told His disciples to 'come and dine'. He fed them the Word for the soul along with food for the body.
He was among His people then, and could 'feed' them in person. Today, we have His Word to study, to get direction for our lives. We also have our individual
churches where we can go hear the Word preached. There's no reason for our heart and minds not to be 'fed' daily, so that we have the armor of God to protect us
all the time. Jesus is saying, "Come and dine" today. Want you come and dine?
God's Thoughts:
John 21:12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, in this hour in which we live, we need you more than ever. Help us stay in the Word in order to be fed that which we need to survive. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
