Daily Dose of God's Word At
Barbara's EntourageI Shall Not Be Moved
November 9, 2001
Our Thoughts:
All through life, we are constantly on the move. Some move from job to job. Others have to move from house to house.
One might be in the military, as my husband was, and be moved from place to place, or even have to go overseas. Within our short span in the military, we moved four times and
my husband was overseas twice. That's lots of moving. And, during our marriage, we've moved several times, but now have a home where we will probably live the rest of our lives.
These days, it's unlikely that many people stay in the same house all their lives.
There is a place where we can go, though, and not be moved. When we come to the Lord, we are able to give all our burdens and cares to Him. We should place our
complete trust in Him, to let Him take care of His promise to His people. He strengthens our heart through His Word. He builds our spirit by His Spirit. He will carry us in His
big arms, just as we carry a child who is sick. God knows our every need, and is ready to supply that need, if we let Him. Place your trust in Him today, and let Him strengthen
you through His Power.
God's Thoughts:
Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, the world today is burdened down with cares and worry over bombings and war and disasters. We need peace in our hearts, and relief in the natural.
Help us to give all those cares and worries over to you, so that life can once again be fruitful for us. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
