Daily Dose of God's Word At
Barbara's EntourageMy Ways, Your Ways, or HIS WAYS?
Our Thoughts:
We all have our own problems. But, how many times have you come across someone that 'knew it all'? They could tell you just how much
they knew, and make it appear that they held the 'truth' to everything. Your opinions were always wrong, and there was nothing you could to do to convince them otherwise. My friend on the
internet is always having her 'thoughts' attacked that she's posted on her website. It's gone from her thoughts on being a 'chocoholic' to her celebrating Christmas. These people may mean
well, but they don't hold the last word on any subject.
The Word tells us that the Lord's thoughts are not our thoughts, and our ways are not His ways. We sometimes get too wise in our own eyes, and it's not really the spirit of the
Lord in which we tell others the things we think to be correct. Only God knows our hearts. I believe, when we trust in God to lead, guide, and direct our lives, He will put up a 'red flag', if you will,
in our minds, when we go wrong. Others may view our 'beliefs' as wrong, but that doesn't make theirs right. Each of us has the responsibility of following God ourselves. We can't do it for someone else,
and we shouldn't feel like we have the 'last word' on anything. To appear to be a 'know-it-all' to others, only hampers our use in the Kingdom of God. It turns others away from wanting to listen to what
we have to say.
God's Thoughts:
Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, others mean well, when they attack our beliefs. But only you can lead, guide, and direct our lives. Help us to keep atune to the your spirit, so our lives will be on the right track. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
