Our Thoughts:
It's human nature to become a little scared, when things happen to us that we've never experienced. When I broke my hip
and had to have hip replacement, I actually thought life as I had known it was over! But, as I calmed down, had my operation, and began my recovery period, I found that things
weren't as bleak as they seemed those first few days. What I had heard was 'fear' in the voices of those trying to let me know what to expect. They were actually trying to help,
but with all the pain in my body, I was fearing what would happen to me afterwards. But, I found it was easier to let GOD worry than for me to dwell on 'what might be'. And,
things have changed drastically since that day! I've found life isn't near as bad as I thought, after those talks. And, life is getting better and more normal, as the weeks pass.
Don't you know that David wondered if he could actually kill the giant with that little sling - that's human nature. But, when the Spirit of God took over, he must
have felt like he was larger than the giant. He went out and did what he did best - obeyed! He understood that GOD was the Master planner, and no plan of God lacks a good ending!
They always work! But, we, as Christians have to 'believe' that we can do what we are called upon to do. As in my recovery, I had to have the determination that I was going to be fine,
with God's help. My attitude had to be one of surrender to God, and believe that HE would take care of me. And, just as He took care of me, He took care of Little David, as he faced
that towering giant, Goliath! He can also bring you through those 'unknown waters', safe and sound, if you trust HIM to do so.
God's Thoughts:
Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, Your Word says, if we believe, all things are possible. Help us never to get over into unbelief, even though
our lives seem to be in shambles. Help us always hold on to you and the Word and put our faith fully in you. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
