One 'Nut' Among Thousands

dotOur Thoughts:

We are overrun by 'nuts' here at our house, believe me! But, it's the edible kind. We have two pecan trees that just started bearing this year, and not plentiful. My husband saw a friend who had pecans to shell that were already cracked, so he bought a big bag. Then, our close friends, who has access to several pecan trees in his Mother's yard, offered us a big bag the other night. Then, only this morning, a neighbor, to whom my husband had been giving pine straw, called to say he was stopping by on the way to the lake with us some pecans. So, in comes another bag! Needless to say, we have more than enough pecans to last us quite awhile!

But the nut spoken of in the title isn't an edible one, but an 'enthuiast' for Christ. Do you admire and devote yourself to Christ? Are you constantly trying to do things for Him, to glorify only Him? Are you doing all you can to further the gospel, to get it out to all with which you come in contact? I am sure, this morning, when you put those feet off that bed onto the floor, you weren't considering whether or not you were a 'nut'. But, if you are doing the above, then you are a 'nut for Christ'..... an enthusiast that loves to tell others about your Savior, to encourage them to get to know Him as you have. So, when you hear someone say, 'You are a nut'!, then rather than be offended, say, YES, I am - for Christ, and happy to be!

dotGod's Thoughts:

2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

dotOur Cup:

Heavenly Father, I want to stay a 'nut for Christ' - be greatly enthused with loving and serving you. Help me to guide others to you and your teaching, so they may become enthusiasts too. I give you praise! In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
