Dirt Will Always Be Dirt!
 Our Thoughts:
I thought, what a profound statement, when I heard it come from the lips of my Mother. We had been changing out pots, and planting flowers. I was
about to pour out some dirt from last year's pots, and put in new. She said, "You know, dirt never changes. We can add additives to it to make it better, but
we can never change the dirt itself. It will always be dirt.
As I began to reflect on this statement, the Lord brought to my mind how He made us from the dust of the earth. But, then He breathed life into our
body, and made us a living soul. Although we started out as the dirt - we WERE changed by his breath! The dust will go back to the earth, but his Spirit, living within us, will
return to God, to live eternally!
God's Thoughts:
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father,although we were once only the dirt of the earth, we give you thanks for changing our lives. We give you praise for showing mercy through grace by faith, and we are no longer just DIRT, but the 'salt of the earth'. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.
