Daily Dose of God's Word At
Barbara's EntourageThe Last Day
Our Thoughts:
We are always waiting for the last day - the last day of work before vacation, the last day of school. Children can't wait until the day before their
birthdays or Christmas to come! It's a very exciting time for them. Then, there is today - the last day of an old year, and tomorrow rings in the new.
There's coming another 'last day', and it can't be far away. Have you thought about what you will be doing the last day of your life? Not all of us will be here when the Lord returns for
us in the rapture. Some will be going before, because death is sure for each of us. We need to each live our lives as if it's our last day on earth. In these last days, there will be a falling away. People
will be veered away from what they've always believed because they haven't kept close to God. It will be easy for someone with a 'feel good' religion to come in and steal away those people. Most of us, I am sure,
feel that 'could never happen to me'. But, if you aren't grounded in the Word, prayed up, staying on your 'knees' before God, worshipping Him daily, then you might find yourself wound up in a 'feel good' religion.
Then, when the Lord returns for you, whether by death or the rapture, you'll be left behind. Start this year off right; be sure you are on the straight and narrow path to heaven, not a side trail.
God's Thoughts:
2 Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, sometimes we get wound up in our own feelings and veer away from what is true. Help us to steer the course down the path of victory towards our heavenly goal, Keep us from the enemy and his ways so that we might be ready when you return. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
