How Time Flies!
January 17, 2002
Our Thoughts:
The day never seems to have enough time within it. Twenty four hours seems enough, until you try to stuff more
things into those hours than you can do in one day. When you go visiting,it seems the time goes by so quickly, you hardly got there before it was time to go! Of course,
your spouse might not feel that way - mine is always ready to go before me! When I go shopping, I'm always rushed to finish.
Do you realize how quickly 2002 is passing? Seems only yesterday we were having Christmas; yet, here it is the seventeenth day of January, 2002! Life is
passing up by right before our eyes. When we lay down at night and pray, we are praying for those things that will happen tomorrow, next week, etc, but we don't realize
that the time might not be there. Before the morning, God may return. His time isn't like our time. In our minds, we think it's never ending, although we know we will die
one day. And, each day puts us closer to that appointment with God, whether it's through death in the flesh, or the rapture of the Christians. God is getting ready to come
for the people who have kept themselves ready for his return. Time will then matter no more!
God's Thoughts:
2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, we know you are looking down on your people and getting ready to come back. Help us to be ready, In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
