Daily Dose of God's Word At
Barbara's EntourageGod's Word Still Works!
Our Thoughts:
A few weeks ago, in my newsletter, I had talked about how many subscribers I had at the time. To the editor of a newsletter,
seems, no matter how many you have, it's not enough. You want more. Well, last night, I got a wonderful encouragement letter from someone across the ocean in London. He made a comment that
hadn't really crossed my mind. He commented that most ministers would love to have that many coming and few could claim to have that many members that actually attend regularly. And, he ended with "It's my joyous tonic."
The encourager made the day brighter. I really thought about all his comments and know he is right. The numbers aren't were it's at. He had also commented that, if I had only one subscriber, then I
would be helping that person as well. That's true. God is going to see that His Word goes forth, and it won't come back void, even if only one is out there taking part.
But, the story doesn't stop there. After the nice note, I started getting unsubscribe notes. Got up this morning and I've already had more unsubs to the newsletter. Is God testing me, or trying to tell
me something?
If a testing is going on by God, I will hold out. If the enemy has stepped in and started the turn of events to try and stop the Word, he can forget it. The power of God is stronger than the power of satan.
The Word of God will withstand the test of time, so it will surely stand that of the enemy! We don't have to listen to the enemy; he isn't in control. We must take on the whole armor of God (the Word) so that we can come
against him successfully. He won't stop the gospel from going forth, and he's not about to stop the newsletter! So give up, devil!
God's Thoughts:
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, the enemy is on our trail. Help us stay in the Word, and keep the truth in our hearts and minds. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
