The Best Gift
Our Thoughts:
Today was Mother's Day. Surprises are always in abundance today! AND I was completely surprised to return from church today to
find one dozen roses on my kitchen table! I suppose this has been one of the best Mother's Days I've had in the thirty two years I've been a Mother. Oh, they didn't come to eat, or
come to the house at all today. But I got a complete outfit, a gift of bath goodies, and then, from my husband, the very unexpected roses! None of these things were expected, but the
roses most of all. We just don't get elaborate on Mother and Father's Days around here. BUT it was a joy to find those beautiful flowers today, believe me. Every woman loves flowers!
I am sure most Mothers did have a great day, and probably received nice gifts. But there is one gift that can't be given by your earthly children,
or spouse. It's the gift of salvation. This is the greatest gift any of us have ever been given. It's free to us by grace through faith in Christ.

Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, we have been satisfied with earthly gifts today. But we want to give you honor and praise for the free gift of salvation! This is the one gift that none can give but you. We give you the glory and the praise forever! In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.
