Want To Be Successful?

Our Thoughts:

To some, success means you have a big car, a big home, and a high-paying job. It doesn't matter that their life is in ruins, they have no joy, and you never see a smile on their faces. But, they 'have arrived' at the threshold of success and waiting to go 'on the other side'-prosperous! They will do almost anything to reach the point where they 'feel' they have reached 'their' goal.

Reaching 'our' goal is a problem. We should be wanting to reach the goal God has set for our lives. Read the following points that I gleaned from an email:

Knowing God is the essence of your existence. Hearing His voice accurately is affirmation of the intimate relationship you share. Describe His character traits with multiple adjectives as He interacts with you during the day . Remind yourself of His attributes everytime you see a particular object, speak to a certain person, or gaze upon one of His masterpiece sceneries. Wonder no more about His silent watch of the horrible things happening to wonderful people on the earth. Understand Him through personal interaction that transcends the received opinions of others. Spend quality time with Him in spite of time vanishing with your present commitments to relationships and employment.

First, we have to "KNOW" God. We do that through the Word. Then we have to "HEAR" his voice accurately. 'Lean not to thine own understanding' [Proverbs 3:5], but 'TRUST' God with all your heart. Go to Him with your every need. But, spend quality time at His feet without a need, so you can listen to what He has in store for you. Praise and worship God continually! He inhabits our praises. As we praise Him, He is filling you with the power to overcome those obstacles in your life that will help you become successful in the right way. Remember that true success only comes with 'obedience' to His Word.
