A Double Dose Will Do?

dotOur Thoughts:

Have you ever done anything so perfect, and then found out later that it was less than perfect? Saturday was certainly not my day! First the computer starting trying to crash, which it eventually did, but not before I saved my newsletter to a disk. I was going to use it later on my husband's computer and send it out. Well, decided later, after I got mine to boot up, that I'd send it out from here. I tried starting my email program, only to find it would not come up, because the base had been damaged and it had to rebuild the mailboxes. I let it do it, and proceeded to send out my newsletter. I noticed that I had numerous 'unsent' newsletters, even before I sent them out. I deleted all but one, and used that as the template from which to send. To my horror, I found out from my friend that the newsletter had doubled itself within the email! For me, this is terrible! I love doing the newsletter, gathering articles to go in it, and then, to have it go out 'double' really upsets me.

This makes me think of the potato chip commerical...'you can't eat just one'. But, I am sure those receiving the newsletter could have done with only one copy. I'm not into repeating myself, and hope everyone realizes that.

I wonder if sometimes the Lord would love to give us a 'double dose', to show us the right way to do things? As Christians, it should take only one time for God to tell us something, and for us to respond. But, many times, we get too busy and don't listen to the Father talking to us. Our earthly parents may get tired of repeating themselves and discipline us. I know many things are repeated in the Bible, but He always had a way of saying them differently.

Matthew 15:16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?

dotOur Cup:

Heavenly Father, teach us to listen to your voice when you speak. Sometimes we are just too hardheaded to listen the first time, and may need a little reminding! We give you praise! In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
