Whose Report Do You Believe?

Our Thoughts:

When the Doctor hands you a report on your health, what is the first thing you do? Do you take it as the truth, or do you ask God to reveal to you what you need to believe? I remember when my Dad was operated on and the doctor told us he had cancer and six months would be a long life. I didn't say, Oh, Lord, I wish he was going to live longer. I said, "NO, I won't receive that. I believe in miracles." The doctors meant well, but, they weren't connected to the Word in their decision. It's God's decision whether we live or die. My Dad lived another thirteen years, and free of cancer!

If you have gotten a bad report, don't take that as the 'gospel'. Get in the Word; look up every scripture related to healing, and meditate on those. Put your faith solely in the Lord. Our God isn't a God of sickness, but the Healer. He is God OVER cancer and any other thing that can overtake our body. The way I look at things is this: He made us, He knows our makeup, and surely there is nothing that He can't heal! But, we have to believe that He CAN and WIll heal us. We can't be wishy-washy, believing one minute and doubting the next. James l:8 says, 'a double-minded man is unstable in his ways'. We either believe God is the healer, or we don't. We either completely give our bodies to the Lord, or we don't. I believe that God wants to heal all our sicknesses, but He is bound by what we want or think. He can't heal a body that's not completely given over to Him. That's like the doctor trying to prescribe for someone who isn't his patient. He just can't get the dose correct.
