Live Your Testimony

Our Thoughts:

Is your testimony a true reflection of your life and the way you live it? Or do you exaggerate when you are with certain people? Can people really see Jesus in your life?

The thought of 'living your testimony' was impressed upon me during preaching Sunday morning. That wasn't the topic of the sermon, but certain things mentioned in Sunday School class and then again in the message made me think about certain things. First, do you say you have faith? Is your faith strong enough to stand when life deals you a blow?

Faith shouldn't 'come and go'. James 1:8 says a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. We can't be a double minded man and expect God to work through us as He would, if we stood steadfast in His Word. We can't 'have faith' and not show the works of Jesus through our lives. Saying we have faith, and applying God's Word to every facet of our lives, are two different things.

The mustard seed is the smallest seed. But, the Word says 'if you have the faith of a grain of mustard seed', you can move a mountain! Faith should build up in you until it flows out like a river. Every word you speak will be 'faith' grounded in God's Word. You apply the Word to your life and your faith builds day to day.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, trials come that test our faith. Help us to be strong enough in your Word to hold on to your promises when we are tempted by the enemy to give up. Help us to live each day knowing that the power in Your Word will give us victory. We give you praise! In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
