Daily Dose of God's Word At
Barbara's EntourageIs Every Day Another Monday?
Our Thoughts:
Nothing goes right on Monday. It's back to work for most of us, after a weekend at home. It's hard to get up early. You
just want one more morning of 'sleeping in'. But, the day calls, and the problems begin!
Well, this past Saturday was like another Monday to me. I did my usual things (soccer games for grandchildren, eating, etc.), and then came time to get out my
weekly newsletter. I was pushed for time, and, when you aren't very careful, you make mistakes. Well, I made two in that newsletter. So, I thought, I'll fix the two mistakes, resend the
edited newsletter, and all will be well. Well, it wasn't to be! Those little 's's got in the way, and I got an URL wrong again! I didn't realize that, until I got an email from a subscriber today.
I told her I was having a 'senior moment', and she wrote back saying, "You can have a Monday any day of the week." And, I've found that out.
Doesn't matter how many Mondays you have each week, GOD is right there to help you through them. He sees your problems, hears your frustrations, and is standing, waiting for you to turn them over
to Him. No need to get all upset, ready to 'jump over the bridge'. As the little kids tell their fellow soccer players when they make a mistake - 'suck it in'. In other words, don't give up; we all make them - we all
have Mondays, and there's nothing wrong with that. The problem comes when you linger on those problems and have a pity party.
His Thoughts
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, sometimes we forget, during our times of trouble, that we have You on whom to lean. Help us to call upon you at the first sign of problems and frustrations. We give you praise! In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
