Daily Dose of God's Word At
Barbara's EntourageIn His Way - In His Time
Our Thoughts:
Ever want to help God? Ever thought He wasn't handling things right - that 'so and so' would never get caught? Ever wanted to just leave
God out of the situation and go it all on your own?
There is a situation that a few friends and I just can't figure out. It all looks very suspicious, to us, that is. It may all be on the up and up, but it's so strange, the way things are appearing. We've tried to
get someone else to help us figure it out, but that person is at odds with the whole thing. So, we sit and ponder - is it wrong, or is it right?
God doesn't work our way and He doesn't think our way. We THINK we need to straighten out everything. Perhaps God will let that, which we think needs to be straightened out, runs its' course, and the person learn from their mistakes. Perhaps God is into
letting us have full reign of how we do things, in that He lets us make our mistakes, and only intervenes when He thinks we've gone far enough. But, as humans, that's not what we would like. We want it fixed now, and not later. But, it doesn't always work that way, even
when we give it to prayer. We each are individuals that do things our way, whether it be through our own ways, or the working of the Holy Spirit within us. And, no two people will do things alike.
We need to constantly listen to the Holy Spirit, when we come across things of which we disapprove. We need never try to figure out or change things on our own. We will always make mistakes and get in trouble or offend. Give it to God; He will make things right in
His time, in His own way.
His Thoughts
Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, we see things that are wrong and we want to change them. Help us to give the wrongs to you, that you can do the changing in your own way, in your own time. Help us steer clear of making problems or offending. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
