Obsessing, Confessing, And Digressing!

dotOur Thoughts:

OCD - sounds like some kind of pill! Have you ever found yourself obsessing over something of which you have no control? It will just seem to take over your whole life, unless you get it in order! There's been one thing that has bothered a friend and me for sometime. We know we can't do a thing about it, other than pray. But, it keeps cropping up, and it's very puzzling to us. I know the enemy has a way of making us 'look' at this all the time, and it creats a problem for us.

The first thing to do, when you find yourself obsessing over something, find out WHY you are obsessing. Is it something you can change? Is it something that you need, desire, but, can't seem to obtain? Is it worth living the life of misery? If you can truly say that you can't really understand why you seem to obsess over this one thing, it is time you took it before the Lord, and repented. I can assure you NO PILL is going to help! He is the only one that will be able to help you over the struggle in your life. He can remove the worry and obsession, giving you peace over the situation.

Oh, so you've been down that path before? You've repented, only to digress, and begin obsessing again? There is hope for you. God knows our weaknesses, and He can help us overcome them. But, we have to be willing to abide by His Word. He wants us to place our faith and trust in Him, and not look back. If you keep digressing spiritually, after awhile, the enemy will have you tagged as an 'easy target'. And, that's something we never want to be for the enemy! So, lean on the Lord, and through His Spirit and power within you, you will be able to get a hold on obsessing - and, perhaps you will never be tripped up again!

dotHis Thoughts

Psalms 86:5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

dotOur Cup:

Heavenly Father, it's easy to get into obsessing over material or earthly things. Help us recognize that the world never holds an answer for us, that the true answers come only through our faith in you. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
