Beware of The Predator

Our Thoughts:

Everywhere you look, there are predators - those that prey on people to victimize, rob, or destroy for their own gain. The world is full of those that cannot stand for others to get ahead in life, whether it be material or money gains, or perhaps to even have someone that loves you.

There have been many children in the news lately that have been victimized by either kidnapping or killing. A little five year old girl was found in California, assaulted and murdered, and left out in the way side, like a piece of trash. The kind of person that does this has no regard for human life, especially that of a little child.

There is another kind of predator that preys on people unexpectedly. This predator is after your soul. There is nothing he will not do in order to stop you from serving the Lord. He will masquerade as an angel of light, [ II Cor 11:14 ] getting you where he wants you, and then he has you. He will feed you with thoughts, peppered with just enough 'truth' to make it sound good. When he has you entangled in the ways of the world, he is laughing at you. To guard against the enemy getting a foothold in your life, you need to constantly be on guard. To be on guard, keep your mind covered with the Word - the full armor of God. The Holy Spirit will keep those words of truth there, ready for use, when the enemy comes calling. And, I assure you, he will come!

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, help us to guard our minds with the Word of truth. We often become slack on feeding our minds with your Word and need a reminder that, only through you, are we saved from the wiles of the enemy. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
