So There Is An Antagonist In Your Life?

Our Thoughts:

Sometimes the enemy comes to call in the worse ways. My life is not any different than the average person out there. I have my turns with the enemy striking at my family and me. But, it's what you do during those times that makes the difference.

It is our natural instinct to strike back, when the enemy comes to call. We want to do whatever it takes to avenge our sorrows! I know; been there, done that! But, when we take matters into our own hands, we are becoming like the enemy. And, believe it or not, that is what the enemy wants. It gets our mind off God and onto the problems of life. Then, the enemy knows just what he needs to do to keep you upset, occupied, and out of the protection of the Lord.

We need to be prepared, when the enemy comes to call. The Spirit within us gives us power to resist the devil. But, it takes effort and want on our part. We need to 'feed' on the Word daily, be clothed with the armor of God, and ready to meet the adversary head on!

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, we know the enemy is up to his old tricks. Help us to be aware, and to be prepared, when he comes to call at our door. We give you praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
