Daily Dose of God's Word At
Barbara's EntourageWhat's Taking Up Residence?
Our Thoughts:
I hate pain. I've had some in my back, beneath my shoulder blade for the past three days. I just told someone, this morning, that it
looked like the pain had 'taken up residence'!
How often do we let things 'take residence' in our body? What about the pain associated with lost friendships, or, perhaps, lost relatives? What about the depression in your life?
All of these things, and more, can just 'move right in', and we don't realize that it can be prevented.
God's Word provides the 'medicine' to take care of all the things that just move in to 'take residence' in our body.
But, when we are hit with these things, we seldom remember that God provides a way of escape for all the cares of this life. We've been programmed to worry. Stress in our lives sometimes makes us
depressed, and it just seems normal. Well, it's not normal, nor does God want us depressed or bothered with any number of things that life lets 'take residence' in our bodies!
So, this morning, if you are having problems with 'illegal residents' in your body, why not get out the WORD, put on the full armor of God, and start fighting back!! Those hurts and pains and depression do not
have to get you down!! The best medicine for it all is the WORD! God gave us the Word through His Son, and it's our HANDBOOK to a great life!
His Thoughts
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, without you, our lives are all cluttered with problems, hurts, and pain. Show us, through the Word, how we can get our lives back on track, without all the clutter. We give you praise! In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
