Barbara's EntourageForever Changed
Our Thoughts:
September 11, 2001 changed all of us forever. Nothing will ever be the same. Where we were once naive, thinking that 'it could never happen to us', we know now that it can and has.
Our safe haven was interrupted when terror hit our skies, bringing down buildings that were supposed to 'stand through anything'. We now have proof that anything can be brought down, if the right combination has been reached.
So many lives were changed that faithful day - some were lost in the bombings of the Twin towers, the Pentagon, and in the airplane that went down over Pennsylvania. There were many lives changed as they lost these relatives, or perhaps escaped the
buildings themselves, having left behind friends that they were unable to help.
The enemy meant for this disaster to scar America for good - taking away our happiness, freedom, and trust in our Government. But, the enemy has once again underestimated the people of America! Anericans rose to take the challenge. They began to return to the Lord - making new commitments to Him. The enemy
was met with resistance - something he doesn't understand. Life in America had changed, but it wasn't met with what the enemy thought it would be met with - weak people! Instead, they chose to rise from the fall, regain their composure, and trust God that He would get them through whatever hardships they faced. And, He has done
just that! It was a wake-up call for many Americans. We found we weren't infallible - somebody out there had the means of changing us forever. BUT, we had the means of fighting back - not only with the armor of man, but with the armor of GOD!
We are a 'nation forever changed', but I would like to think it's a change for the better. We know the enemy is still alive, ready to kill anyone that is close to the Lord - or try to bring down a prosperous Christian nation. But, although we've been scared, we will never give up, never surrender, because we know that the
battle is not ours, but the Lord, and the enemy will never prosper!
His Thoughts
Psalm 125:1 Those who trust in the LORD
Are like Mount Zion,
Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
Isiah 54:17No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, our nation has been changed with the terrorism that hit us last year. But, help us keep our trust in you, knowing you have the power to make this change one for the better, and bring your people closer to you. We give you praise! In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
