A Repressed And Depressed People

dotOur Thoughts:

Reading an article by Ann Coulter today, entitled "Murder For Fun And Prophet", I was brought back to the grim reality to what our nation has become. We have sank to the idea that it's wrong to denounce killers because of their religion. Christianity becomes back seat to those religions that harbor terrorists - because we have to be 'politically correct'. It would be 'wrong' to say that there is something wrong with a religion that has prompted hatred of others within it's borders.

Our children can no longer pray in schools, because it might offend some of other religions. A man has tried to get any mention of God removed from the Pledge of Allegiance. He is also in the process of trying to get Him taken out of the Congress entirely. In other words, God offends him. We, as a Christain nation are evidently wrong to protray our love of God, and aren't to express it anywhere except maybe in our hearts. But, will someone like this guy soon try to take even our thoughts away from us? Let's not laugh; it's too early in the 'game'! We never thought we'd see the day that GOD was removed from schools, but it happened. We never thought we'd see the day that it was uncouth to recognize God in our public work places, but it came! Just where will it stop?

Our America has changed, and changed drastically in my years. Never did I think that I was unsafe in my younger days. Never did I think that GOD would ever be condemned in America. Terrorism was always in a foreign land. Safety was never an issue. Life was fair! But, times have changed - we are unsafe in our own country. The enemy lurks just around the corner, thinking up some other way of taking away our peace. God is being removed from society - less people are going to church. More people think they can go it on their own, and have no need of Him in their every day lives. Terrorism has come to our shores, and safety is now a big issue! The Homeland Security Commission has been started to help secure our homeland - our once safe America.

We have 'downsized our expectations' of people. In other words, they are taught 'toleration'; please do NOT correct anyone or mention something is wrong - especially Biblically!! Heaven forbid that you link a specific people with specific actions! Don't think correction; think repression! Repression is the start of depression! Keep your feelings in!

Fear and anguish have become the common mainstay of lots of Americans. Anguish that things that have and are happening to their families and our country - fear because we are told not to call terrorists by name (religion), safety and peace are not the norm anymore! But, we, as Christians, are taught to stand fast in the Lord.

In Exodus, the fifth through the tenth chapters, God tells Moses to go tell Pharoah, "Let my people go, that they might serve me." And, there were consequences to happen after each plea, if Pharoah didn't listen to the Words of the Lord. Today, as we are repressed from expressing ourselves, and having God in our world as a true freedom, we are plagued with those things which God mentioned would come upon them, if they didn't let His 'people go'. Galatians 6:7 mentions that God will not be mocked and whatsoever we sow, we will reap. Woe to America! May she lift her hands and heart truly back to God!

dotHis Thoughts

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land

dotOur Cup:

Heavenly Father, we have been repressed to long into thinking we are second-rate citizens, unable to think for ourselves. We are losing are right to voice our opinion, to live a life in peace and harmony, without having to supress our Biblical views. Help us to listen to you, and to be obedient to your voice, that our nation may once again be back in your good graces and destruction is wiped from our lives. We give you praise! In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
