Daily Dose of God's Word At
Barbara's EntourageTurn Up The Flame!
Our Thoughts:
The enemy is on the trail of saints, I kid you not! If he's not on your trail, you better be finding out why.
I've always heard the saying, 'if the devil isn't after you, he already has you.'
If you are finding yourself bombarded by his tricks, you need to 'turn up the flame'. He knows his fate, and he's trying to take all the
unsuspecting people with him that he can. He appears as the 'angel of light' in order to dupe the people that aren't prepared for his antics. He knows how and
when to attack. He watches our moves, and listens to our voice, for he knows the tongue can betray us at any given time. He sees the entrance way open, and he
enters, most of the time without one even knowing it until it's too late. He does the damage and leaves us to clean up the mess. But, often times, we are ill-equipped
to do so effectively. That's where the WORD comes in.
If you truly wants to get out from under the influence of the enemy, to keep him from bothering you all the time, hit the Word, hot and heavy! Get the scriptures
deep within your spirit, and meditate on them all the time. When the enemy comes at you, give him scripture. The Bible says to resist the devil and he will flee. [James 4:7] To
resist, you have to know who you are in Christ, and how to use the Word effectively. You have to believe in what you are saying, not just repeating it because it sounds good.
Put your trust fully in God and His Word, turn up the flame - and the devil will have to take a hike!
His Thoughts
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, we know we can trust in you and your Word to get us out from under the bondage of the enemy. Help us to meditate on your Word constantly and get it within our Spirit. We give you praise! In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
