He Paid Our Debt

Our Thoughts:

Well, it is the morning after Christmas and you woke up to a mountain of debt! You cannot, for the life of you, understand why you let yourself slip right into the same mess year after year. You make a resolution every year to watch the spending,and to stay within the budget. But, as the Christmas season comes upon us, and you get into the spirit of the season, you begin to spend. And, the spending goes on, until you've depleted your bank account and perhaps gotten over into the savings account. Some of you charge your purchases and don't realize how much debt you have accumulated until you swipe that card one more time, and it rejects the purchase.

There is a way to get out of debt, but you have to be very fervent in your will to want to be debt free. Do away with those charge cards, get your debts accumulated into one, and pay them religiously! Then, get the desire to be free of debt all the time. Don't let yourself be caught up in that trap any longer!

In our spiritual lives, we would be unable to pay the debt we owe. But, there is one who paid a debt He didn't owe, just so we could be free. Jesus Christ gave His life so that our sins could be erased. They are as far away as the east is from the west, and He will never see them again! So, if your debt seems to be insurmountable today, know that there is One who will be happy to help you through this terrible time. His Name is JESUS CHRIST!

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, debts have accumulated in the natural this Christmas season. Many are depressed because of spending too much, being alone, or some other thing that has attached itself to their minds. Lord, we trust that you will reach out to each and every hurting heart, and bring them into your loving arms and give them your wonderful peace. We give you praise! In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
