During this season, it seems like we wait constantly. In the stores, the lines are usually so long, it seems we wait forever to get to the cashier. We wait on parking spaces, when the parking lots are full. We are waiting on people who are slow. We are even waiting on the mail person to come with our mail! It seems about all we do is wait,wait, wait!
Waiting is just something in our lives we seem to have to put up with. But, there comes a time in our lives that waiting isn't good. When our spiritual life isn't where it should be, there is definitely NO TIME to wait!
Too many people neglect their spiritual lives. They live in a world of complacency and don't give a thought about what would happen, if life should end. Some get into complete spiritual deadness and others never come out of the darkness! But, today is not a day for complacency, spiritual death or darkness. It's time we took a look at our life, lined it up with the Word of God,
and get our soul prepared for His coming. The nearing of the Lord's return is closer than it's ever been.
God's Thoughts:
Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, we know life can be cut short. Help each of us to be prepared to meet you, when our time comes. Draw us nearer to you! We give you praise! In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
