A Heart Divided

Our Thoughts:

How is your heart tonight? Are you sure that it's right with God, with no hidden hostilities, hate, revenge? Have you checked the corners of your heart lately, to make sure the spiderwebs of past hurts are gone? Have you dusted the 'interior' lately?

People are divided on their feelings about the war. Countries are divided among themselves about their place in the war - whether they should be involved or not. And, with these divisions comes hate among the people toward the countries involved. And, there are hurts here among those that have been the recipients of terrorism. There is so much prejudice through out the world,too, that keeps us from unity within the Kingdom of God.

Satan would have that division among the nations, between the people, and between even your neighbors! But, God would have us to 'love one another' - to pass on forgiveness - to tear down those walls that separate us from those in other countries - anything that would separate us from God.

He is the great I AM, the Almighty God- our provider and banner - the God of enough! There is not one barrier that he can't get through or one wall He can't break down for the cause of unity.

Love never fails! There is no love stronger than God's. There's no power on earth that can surpass the power of God that He gives to His people that obey Him.

Today, this hour, pray for the barriers to be taken away- for the walls to fall just as the walls of Jericho fell - just like the Berlin Wall, in our time, was removed - that God can bring people to him through the love shown them by His people.

God's Thoughts:

Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Matthew 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, let the gates of our heart be opened that we can be receptive to others' needs - and our ears be opened that we can hear the Word you have given us to share with the unsaved. Let us be the instrument that you use to bring them to the Kingdom of God. Let them see you in us. We give you praise and honor and glory due your precious name. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
