The Real Trip!

Our Thoughts:

I love to travel, but my husband doesn't. So, I take bus tours with my Mother to places to which I would not ordinarily get to go. We have lots of fun, see new places, and meet new people. We renew old friendships and make new friends. It's great for anyone who loves to travel.

We just got home last night from a great trip. Today, I've been very lazy, just laying around and napping. I'm still tired, mostly from the bus ride. But, that would never stop me from going on another trip with the gang!

Traveling is fun, if the place of arrival is exciting. One of these days, we will be going on a 'trip' that will be the most exciting of our lives. There has never been a trip taken like this one! The 'driver' will be on time, the most experienced, and we will go on a journey of a lifetime! The trip I'm talking about?? Well, it's that eternal trip with Jesus! The Word says it will happen 'in the twinkling of an eye'; so stay packed and ready, because there will be no second chances, no going back to 'change things', 'make amends', or 'picking up the pieces'.

God's Thoughts:

1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, one day soon, you will return for your Bride. Help us each to be waiting and watching for your return, ready to go with you. Help us endure until your return, resisting all the worldly enticements that come our way. We give you praise. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
