Behind The Scenes

Our Thoughts:

Looking at the exterior of an individual, we have no idea what they are going through. We don't know the turmoil that perhaps they are going through, or have gone through in order to serve God. It may really take lots of courage for the person to show love and compassion.

Lots of people will go to the extremes to keep another from finding out just how they feel inside. Their face never shows anything but joy and happiness. They don't want any sympathy for things that may be happening to them. So, they go out of their way to look happy, to be enjoying life - showing others love and compassion, when perhaps they are hurting so badly themselves. This is called benevolence They are very charitable in their love for the happiness of others. It doesn't matter that they are hurting inside; they still go out of their way to show compassion to others.

So many hurting people feed on their hurts and pain. They stop their blessings and others because of their selfishness. But, the Bible tells us to 'love one another', A person who practices love, although hurting, has a blessing coming his/her way! I've seen many smiles on faces of people whom I know have so many problems; yet, you'd never know it, looking at the outside! The love of God shines through their lives, and they light up the lives of others.

God's Thoughts:

John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, touch the lives of those that are hurting today. Give them joy unspeakable, love that won't fail, and the courage to let your power work in their lives. Let your light shine in their lives as a beacon for others along the way. We give you praise. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
