 Our Thoughts:
When you decide to take a trip, you sit down and plan your destination. You decide which route you'll take in order to arrive at your destination.
Without planning, you leave yourself open to disaster or failure and lots of unnecessary frustration!
Just as with your destination in life, you decide your destination in the hereafter. God has done all He is going to do. He sent His Son to die for our sins on the cross. We are the heirs
to the promises, but the promises are ours by our choice.
There is a stipulation in our receiving His promises. We must repent and believe. We must be obedient to the Word. We can't do our thing and expect to reap the blessings of God. We can't live a life of sin, never getting forgiveness, and expect to reign
with Him in heaven. There has to be a change in uor way of life, in our thinking. We must go from running our own life, to letting God direct our steps.
By putting our faith fully in Him, only then can we truly be what God wants us to be. Only then can one know the full relationship with the Father that He has prepared for us. Only then can we know His will, and then truly know our destination!!
God's Thoughts:
John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, we do lots of planning for our destinations here on earth. Help us to have that same fervent action in planning for our future - our eternal future. Teach us to lean on you, to put our trust truly and only in you. We give you praise. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
