Changing Your Circumstances

Our Thoughts:

We often find ourselves in circumstances that don't appeal to us. But, if we want it badly enough, we can change the circumstances of our life. But, we have to 'do something'!

Remember the story of Paul and Silas? They were beaten and cast into jail because they cast the spirits out of a woman. The jailers were told to watch them and keep them there safely. That night, after midnight, Paul and Silas began to sing and praise God. Suddenly, there was an earthquake and the prison gates opened and all the prisoners chains were loosed. The keeper awakened from his sleep and thought all the prisoners had escaped. He was about to kill himself, but Paul cried out to him not to do that, because they were all safely in the prison. This caused the jailer to ask how he could be saved. Paul and Silas were full of God and the prisoners wanted to be around them!

Maybe your circumstances aren't as bad as Paul and Silas. But, just like them, you can break your circumstances. You, as a Christian, have been redeemed from the curse of the law, and delivered from all the authority of darkness! Remember, HE is "I AM", whatever you need. He has made us more than conquerors and overcomers by the Word!

God's Thoughts:

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, circumstances seem to overtake us in this life. But, you are the great I AM, the One who is able to deliver us from all these circumstances. Help us to keep our attention on you, to study and act on your Word and change these circumstances. We give you praise. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
