When Will He Say "Enough"?

Our Thoughts:

This morning we heard something on the news that I thought would never come to America. I learned never to even think never, let alone believe never. When man pushes hard enough and long enough into today's courts, anything can happen! And, today, the unthinkable did happen.

The courts of Massachusetts passed a law that makes it legal to have a same-sex marriage in that state. And, usually, what happens in one state will roll over to other states. I did hear that 37 states have laws that prevent a one-sex marriage. But, where you know the old saying, "where there's a will, there's a way". So, I am sure those in favor will be pushing to make it a law in every state.

Is God pleased? I am sure he is not, considering, in His Word, He says it is an 'abomination'. Is He surprised? I would think not, since He has given man free choice to make decisions in life, whether they are right or wrong. The enemy has taken that and used it as a leverage to get to the people. Just as he did with Eve, he's doing it with people today. He's telling people that they are 'made that way', 'there's nothing wrong with same-sex marriage' - 'be happy'. This is so untrue. The only true way to peace and happiness is through Christ's saving Grace. But, the enemy is distorting the Word and many more will come under his influence through this law that has just been passed. And, he isn't going to let up; he will continue to work his dirt until the return of the Lord.

Update: The news just reported that it was found that the Massachusetts constitution allows the marriage of same sexes. Three couples had apparently been denied marriage license, and Massachusetts has been told to straighten the matter out. It will be interesting to see which way they go.

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, today, in our land, man has given the okay for something which your Word teaches against. When man begins to go against the Word, we know he is in trouble. Lord, we ask that you help man to rise up and fight against this law and get it overthrown before it flows over into the other states. Our children are so vulnerable and need to know the truth which is in your Word. We give you praise! In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
