 Our Thoughts:
We all love to buy those gifts that we would love to get from others. We spend lots of money on our children, our grandchildren, parents, or spouses. We are always in a run for
those last minute items that we forgot when we first started to shop. Or, maybe we decided to buy for someone that we hadn't realized we would spend Christmas with this year. Maybe you are buying for a needy family.
The greatest gift for Christmas isn't for sale. You won't find it at the local mall. You won't find it under the tree. It's the love that we can show each other - the love of Jesus that lives within us. It can
show up in an unexpected 'Hello', a needed Hug, a Smile, or that extended hand of help to someone in need.
God sent us that kind of love when He, unselfishly, sent His only Son to earth over 2,000 years ago. He came to show us that Godly love, and to show us a better way of life - eternal life through Him.
God's Thoughts:
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, help us to show your love in every facet of our lives, that your light shines from us to others along the way. We give you praise! In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
