 Our Thoughts:
The world dictates to each of us that we 'need' the approval of everyone in order to be at peace. But, I don't think that is true, in
that we would never be at peace, if we had to wait for approval from everyone! But, sometimes, our mind buys into that jargon.And, then, the enemy knows just what our weak points are.
Siblings want the approval of their siblings. It's just natural to want a friendly rapport with your brother or sister. But, that is not always what the other sibling wants.
Sometimes, a spouse may stand in the way of that rapport.
The flesh tells us to seek out the peace through earthly means. The Spirit tells us to go to God for peace. Sometimes, we will never have the satisfaction of being completely
in sink with our brothers/sisters/friends. But, we can always have the heavenly peace that comes only from God, the Master of our soul.
God's Thoughts:
Psalms 56:11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, I know only you can give me the peace that I need. The enemy will always be pressuring me, but Your power within me can help me overcome the enemy. We give you thanks and praise. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
