Daily Dose of God's Word At
Barbara's EntourageThe Faithful Few
Our Thoughts:
Being a Webminister, it is natural to want to know where your hits come from. Also, in watching the counter, we see the hits go up and down. Sometimes,
they fall below what seems to be acceptable to us. It's only human to want your totals to exceed the day before. But, that's not always the case, and sometimes, they fall so low, it's lower than maybe the
last year's hits have been at any given time.
There is always the 'faithful few' that keep coming. They let you know they are the faithful few by writing and encouraging you with very thoughtful words. And, it's so appreciated, when you've spent so
much time to try and make your web site live up to what God would have it be. I know that He will send those people that need the information found on my site, if I'm faithful to keep trusting Him. But, sometimes,
we lose site of what is important and what isn't.
Sometimes church is like the Website. People come and people go. Sometimes, the church looks as though it can't stand because of the low number of people coming. But, with the Web ministry, there are
always the 'faithful' few'. Those people will come no matter what happens, who leaves and who goes. Their attendance doesn't depend on the number of people there, the programs that are administered at the church, or the music,
as far as that goes. They are the 'faithful few' because they trust in God, come what may. They hold on to the promise that He care for them as individuals. It doesn't matter if there is one, or one hundred in attendance, if
the Word is going forth. It's just as important for those 'faithful few' to hear, and it is for those one hundred. In the last days, there will be a falling away, but those 'faithful few' will 'endure to the end'.
God's Thoughts:
Matthew 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Luke 16:10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, help us to stay in the Word and trust in the power of the Word to keep us from falling out of fellowship with You. The Word is Truth, and Truth makes us free! We give you praise. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
