Heart disease can be curtailed or stopped in most cases. We need to watch the food we eat. Too many people don't watch their blood pressure and keep it under control. In other words, we don't look after our health in the way we should, most of the time.

There are also spiritual heart problems. Worry and stress play a role in heart problems. Stress-related diseases (including heart disease) are killing our people. Worry and stress can be relieved, when you get in the Word. Having knowledge of the Word, and being enlightened by the Holy Spirit in the Word, can help in every aspect of your life, especially the heart. Spiritual heart disease would be non-existent, if Christians were as diligent in studying the Word as they are in their eating habits. That might get a laugh out of some, but it's the truth. As the preacher says, there are those sitting in the pews every Sunday, who can't wait for noon to get there, hoping the preacher will stop on time (their time), so they can race for the nearest restaurant. It's sad that we think of food more than we think of God moving in our midst. We need to hold on to God and His Truths and Promises, and perhaps we could see the heart problems, both bodily and spiritually, begin to wane.
