Daily Dose of God's Word At
Barbara's Entourage Living With Our Decisions
Our Thoughts:
We often make hasty decisions in life. We decide to do things, on the spur of the moment, that we might not, otherwise, do.
Someone might catch us off guard, and so as not to appear a little unsociable, we give in and agree to do something that we might not really want to participate in. If we
aren't careful, the devil can get us entangled into a mess that's hard to get out of! Remember, he may appear as a friendly guy; after all, he is thought of as an angel of light!
It's his job to get you off the path of truth, on to 'his truth', which isn't truth at all, but barefaced lies!!
Decisions have a way of impacting our lives. They often stay with us for life. One hasty moment of a wrong choice can make or break us. So, as you start out to vote
today, remember what this decision could cost you. Ask yourself, 'do I believe in the campaign promises that my candidate has made? Do I believe he speaks the truth, and will try to
keep those promises to the best of his ability? Will he be the one that will truly try and keep our country FREE?' Ask yourself, 'does he really have my interests at heart? Will he keep our
country safe from terrorists? Or, will we always be looking over our shoulder, expecting another attack at any moment?'
Decisions can be good; decisions can be bad. If we keep our minds on the Lord, and ask for His guidance, our decisions will be on the right side. But, if we allow ourselves
to become complacent, never giving enough time to our spiritual needs, we might slip and let satan put up roadblocks along the way, and our decisions will be wrong. So, be prepared. Never
make a decision that will effect your life until you've gone to the Lord in prayer.
God's Thoughts:
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, one wrong decision can make for a very unhappy life. Help us to always pray and ask for guidance before making a costly decision. We give you praise. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
