Faith In The Promise
Our Thoughts:
Abraham's faith fastened upon the word and promise of God. God asked him to offer up his son, Isaac,
as a burnt offering. Trusting in flesh and blood, Abraham would never have been able to carry out the sacrifice. But, he put his trust in God so much, that he was willing to sacrifice Isaac. But
instead, God was testing his faith, and supplied a ram for the sacrifice.
Through the obedience of Abraham, he obtained blessings, and we were promised the blessings of Abraham. Through faith in
Christ, we can obtain the same blessings with which Abraham was blessed many years ago.
God's Thoughts:
Galatians 3:9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, help us to have the faith of Abraham, to be able to trust you with all things. We give you honor and praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
